“Gravity estimation and verticality perception are essential for maintaining an upright, bipedal posture, as well as achieving stable, allocentric perceptions of our environment.”
-Dakin and Rosenberg 2019
The Gravity Reset Method (GRM), a culmination of the authors’ combined multi-decade clinical experience and ingenuity with thousands of patients, explores and restores a patient’s optimal relationship to the ever-present force of gravity. Our relationship to gravity has profound implications on all of human function, including but not limited to; cognition, balance, posture, autonomic system, musculoskeletal system, sensory processing, movement, energy expenditure, healing potential and much more.
The GRM is the assessment and optimization of brain integration between the primary neurological systems - Vestibular, Visual, and Somatosensory. Known as “The Big 3,” these systems give humans the ability to know where they are in their environment and where the environment is compared to them. The calibration of “The Big 3” systems happens in the brain. This methodology applies a therapeutic approach that engages each of these three systems to improve results and encourage the long-term adoption of any therapeutic procedures.

What sets the GRM apart is the simultaneous calibration of "The Big 3” essential systems; the vestibular system, sensory system and visual system. We discovered that when we balance the central vestibular system simultaneously while enhancing positional awareness of the head with the use of a weighted compression headband (sensory & vestibular) and a visual laser feedback device attached to the head (visual & vestibular), we are able to create rehabilitative change in the brain much faster and for much longer.
Methodology vs. Procedure
-
Methodologies provide guidance while procedures carry out goals.
-
Procedure refers to activities carried out regularly without much thought, while methodology represents bigger picture thinking behind the system.
In health care, methodologies consider factors beyond efficiency and practicality. This is born by the fact that every patient is unique and different, each coming in with their own unique set of environmental and genetic influences. Both past and present. As such, the method must be quick to modify and adapt and, most importantly, evolve as new information and circumstances come into play.
Calibration vs Adjustment
-
Calibration is a process of giving a known input to the measurement system and taking necessary actions to see that the output of the measurement system matches its input.
-
Adjustment is defined as a small alteration or movement made to achieve a desired result.
"The addition of using the Gravity Reset Method in my examination and treatment has been an incredible tool that has shown almost immediate pre and post results and sometimes within one visit!"
- Dr. Michael Pendleton

Focus Builder Laser Feedback Glasses
NEW AND IMPROVED!
The Focus Builder Laser Glasses are an excellent option to offer patients in need of laser guided gaze stability exercises or for the purpose of improving the cervical proprioceptive system. Laser-guided head and eye pursuits (aka X0) can be a very effective strategy to improve eye pursuits and stimulate the brainstem and midline cerebellum, especially when used as part of the GRM.
Increased Flexibility, Clear Lenses, and Rechargeable!

Halo RejuvinatorTM Compression Head Weight
is an easy to use, safe and effective product for alleviating tension headaches, muscle tension pain and stiffness in the neck and shoulder regions. The Halo is also an extremely effective rehabilitation tool for individuals who suffer from trauma related upper body muscle pain (whiplash or sudden impact injuries). Enhanced results when using with our Laser Feedback Glasses and the GRM method.
